Charles Browne is Professor of Applied Linguistics and head of the EFL Teacher Training Program at Meiji Gakuin University.

The world’s quickest introduction to what many would argue is the most boring field of study ever created (except for us vocabulary geeks!) . . .

In this Pecha Kucha, Dr. Browne introduces a variety of corpora (collections of written or spoken language) from the written corpus to the diachronic corpus as well as current corpus projects. Several online tools which can be used for activities in the classroom to enhance vocabulary development are also presented.
